Overdue Update

Wow times flies....I still can not believe ive been back for a month and a half already. Although i have absolutely loved every single second of it!! I still am having a hard time convincing myself im not going back to africa. I dont know when that is going to finally sink in.

Poor jeff still isn't back yet which is way past the point of being old. He is getting close to being done though so hopefully in the next little bit i will finally have a husband again!! I think people are really starting to worry when i show up to church once again without him and my belly a little bigger. And it sure doesn't help when rumors are flying around and people are actually starting to ask me if everything is going alright with us.....haha got to love small town gossip!!

So in the meantime i have been busy trying to kept myself busy and my mind off of the fact im husbandless. Surprisingly the time has gone by quite fast though. Ive had a ton do. Finding a house, pretty much buying everything for a house since all we really have is our wedding presents that have sat in storage for the last 2.5 years. It honestly was like christmas morning going through them again. Then buying everything we still need plus everything for a baby. I still have way too many things on my lists to get still but it is getting shorter thank goodness. Then of course a few fun projects me and my mom have done. We painted my mom's whole upstairs and hopefully cabinets very soon. Making cute little girly crafts for my little baby. My mom and I finished this crib quilt a couple weeks ago.....

Some parts were a little past my beginner skill so most of the credit goes to my mom but I do think it turned out darn cute! We are still making the matching bumper pads and sheets to go with it. Then we found the cutest pattern for another blanket and couldn't resist not making it too. That one is still not done though. I promise me and my mom are the worst when it comes to projects....especially when they're for a cute little baby girl.

And if i dont already have a big enough list of things to do i am re-upholstering an old grandma couch and rocking chair I bought for our new house. I can't wait to see what it looks like when its done! I also came accross this website. If you haven't ever looked at it please do...it seriously has some of the cutest furniture ever!! Ive been looking for a bedroom set for a couple weeks now but after looking at this site i decide this week that im going to make our bed instead. Shouldn't be that hard right?? Well i guess i shouldn't say just me because ive already recruited my brother who is getting home off his mission TOMORROW (SOOO EXCITED!!!) to help me. I figure he is going to need something to keep him busy when he gets home....so why not help me make a bed?? We shall see what happens...

So thats pretty much what ive been doing the past little while. My poor mother's basement is slowing filling up with my new house/baby purchases but it will be gone come the 1st of oct when we will finally be moving into our new house. " We" including Jeff im hoping!! In the meantime i will finish up my projects and keep my belly growing.......

Me at 31 weeks

PS - Remember this story? Well if you have read the sept ensign you may have noticed a story very similar to it because it is Chinedu's story! How cool is that! It is very short but soo sweet i thought. Check it out if you haven't read it, its the one titled "the temple was closed." A good reminder of the wonderful blessings of a temple marriage.
